B4Ukraine is a global coalition of 90 civil society organizations driven by a common goal: to block access to the resources enabling Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as our Coalition Executive Director.

The Coalition Executive Director will provide overall leadership and direction for our coalition, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to advance our shared goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coalition-building, political and corporate-facing advocacy, and organizational management, along with a passion for Ukrainian victory in the face of Russian aggression and driving positive change through responsible business conduct and corporate accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the coalition, guiding the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and action plans.

• Foster collaboration and consensus-building among coalition members, partners, and stakeholders to drive collective impact and achieve desired outcomes.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporations, government agencies, funders, and elected officials.

• Lead fundraising efforts to secure financial support for coalition activities, programs, and initiatives, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and fundraising events.

• Manage the coalition’s budget and financial resources, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with grant requirements and financial regulations.

• Oversee the recruitment, training, and support of coalition staff, volunteers, and interns, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

• Represent the coalition in public forums, media interviews, and advocacy campaigns, articulating our mission, values, and priorities to diverse audiences.

• Monitor and evaluate coalition activities, tracking progress towards goals and outcomes, and making adjustments as needed to ensure effectiveness and impact.

• Collaborate with the coalition’s steering committee to provide regular updates, seek input, and make strategic decisions on behalf of the coalition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, non-profit management) required; master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in coalition-building, advocacy, community organizing, or nonprofit leadership, with a track record of success in advancing social change initiatives.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and stakeholders towards a common vision and goals.

• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated experience in fundraising and resource development, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and event planning.

• Knowledge of community organizing principles, and advocacy strategies, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

• Familiarity with nonprofit governance, financial management, and compliance requirements, with the ability to oversee budgets, grants, and contracts.

• Ability to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Ability to travel for work

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications, with experience in data analysis, project management, and online collaboration tools.
